Volunteer

Heatherwood's partnerships with parents, community members and businesses are critical to our ability to enrich and enhance every student’s academic experience and achievement. In addition to helping in the classroom and school, volunteers serve on committees that are fundamental to the success of our school such as the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and the School Accountability Committee (SAC).

​To promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive educational environment, all volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and background screening prior to performing any volunteer work. Please visit the BVSD Volunteer Information page for details.

There are a number of ways to volunteer so please check the opportunities at Helpatschool.com. 

If you are interested in volunteering, we ask that you complete the appropriate Raptor application in English or Spanish which includes a $32 fee. If this presents a hardship for you, please contact the Front Office.
