2nd Grade
2nd grade at Heatherwood Elementary is all about kindness, community, and learning. Our teachers place an emphasis on social and emotional skills, building relationships, and helping 2nd graders grow into the best people they can be. Kids work on having a growth mindset and work collaboratively throughout the year with one another. 2nd grade follows the Common Core State Standards and BVSD curriculum guides for content skills and mastery as well as working with PBL units and Design Thinking instructional models.
